Maker of cave story! I didnt believe the hype! How could a dumb pixel frog with a gun make for a good game? But this game is completely engaging with one of the most charming worlds and stories Ive experienced. Yes its a shooter- but the world is complete and fascinating! Gameplay is refined and truly challenging on the hard mode second play through. However I never feel completely frustrated or discouraged! A great balance. Well worth full price imo

Kero blaster is a wonderful retro experience with everything done right! At first I had some doubts about the interface, especially that you have to manually change the blaster orientation, but it is actually very natural and intuitive. Donc expect the same experience as Cave Story though, its more calssical action game from the 8 bits era than Metroidvania genre. But so stylish and fun that its really a blast on Iphone. the graphics are smart and filled with nostalgia, music is wonderful and have this Cave Story feel I love, and humor is omnipresent. I havent finished it yet but its damn addictive! If I had a request for the next update, that would be to include the prelude Pink Hour. I dont know yet if theres a new game+ or unlockable neither how long is the game. But right now its already a wonderful app for IOS! thanks Studio Pixel!

Kind of fun, reminds me of an NES or maybe a Colecovision game. But other side scrolling platformers are just as fun for $1-$2. I wont name them but it doesnt take much looking. What I dont like is the "swipe to shoot" control scheme. Its awkward and slow, and you just end up running in full auto because its easier. It would have been far better with simply a shoot button, joystick controller, jump button, and maybe limited ammo. Its kind of boring just running through blasting everything in full auto. Whatever it is what it is, but I would NOT have bought this for $5 had I got to play it before. $2, maybe... $1, yes.

This game is very well crafted. The controls are superb and the art music and levels well done. If it was a bit longer or gets some dlc it will be even better. Easily one of the best iOS games to date.

Simple, but appealing graphics, not annoying chiptune sounds, strangely unrepetitive, smooth gameplay, great mechanics and awesome game overall. Highly recommend for fans or haters of platformers.

Studio Pixel is renowned for its attention to detail and ability to evoke emotion from just a few pixels—Kero Blaster is no different. A very enjoyable playthrough, with a refreshing difficulty level for an iPhone game. Recommended — cant wait for the (possible) sequel!

This is the purest, best executed platformer/shooter you will find on iOS. It was made by the maker of Cave Story, but it is a more linear game. My only complaint is the fact that you need to use coins to buy weapons. This is an unneeded system.

I hear this game is short, so Ive been playing it in very short bursts over the last month. Not as good as cave story, and maybe a little too easy so far, but still pretty damn good.

The great studio pixel here on iOS ). I loved their doukutsu: cave story on a Mac, and now this one is awesome!
